Welcome if you are being Posted In, our city is divided into districts as outlined by our Real Estate Board. These districts are the basis for all of our research and depicts local interests, neighbourhoods, housing prices, parks, amenities and schools. CFB Kingston is located on the East side of the city which is close to downtown.
Originally named Kings Town and the birthplace of Sir. John A. MacDonald, Kingston is centrally located within the Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa corridor and is rich in history, architecture and culture. Boasting one of the largest fresh bodies of water in the world, makes boating easy, not only in and around the Thousand Islands but the Rideau Canal and across the River to our American neighbours and the Erie Canal. Nestled along the St. Lawrence and extending west to Lake Ontario, Kingston has developed into one of the most attractive cities in Canada. From “The Hub”, to parks, athletic centres, golf courses, shopping, entertainment, fine dining and theatre, to boating on the Thousand Islands, it is definitely a wonderful place to call home and we welcome you to our city.
Minutes from Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston, Barriefield Centre is the location of the “Association Canadienne-Français de l’Ontario” which provides a program to welcome French speaking newcomers to the area. This organization offers referrals to francophone services in the region. They also host our annual French services fair every October. Admission is free and there are plenty of activities for young and old alike!
